Bach in Aberdeen

In late April I sang Bach’s B Minor Mass with Aberdeen Bach Choir in Aberdeen Music Hall. One of my very favourite pieces, the arias and duets are always a joy to perform. The snaking Qui sedes ad dextram patris and heart-stopping Agnus Dei make the work a favourite for altos, and the Music Hall was a glorious space for such a wonderful work.

I travelled up a day early and enjoyed a beautiful coastal walk with a fish and chip supper as a reward for the long hike, thoroughly enjoying my time in Aberdeen! Now I’m into rehearsal with Opera Settecento for two performances in Halle in early June.
