Buxtehude’s Membra Jesu Nostri

In mid-March I sang in two performances of Buxtehude’s work Membra Jesu Nostri with Figure Ensemble, directed by Freddie Waxman. The performances were in Swiss Church in London and it was great fun to sing with the period instruments and with the other singers. The performances involved a good deal of movement around the building, directed by Philip Barrett, as well as artwork from Joshua Tabti and lighting from Chris Barr. It was a moving experience and one which will stay with me for a long time.
